Case name

Audi E-Tron defective vehicles  – Quebec Class Action

Quebec Superior Court file #

500-06-001360-250

Violations

Plaintiff alleges that her Audi Q4 E-Tron is a lemon, and that Audi is well aware that their E-Tron models suffer from many serious defects, including battery, charging, geolocation and vibration issues. Plaintiff’s battery does not function adequately, effectively transforming her Q4 E-Tron from a long-range vehicle to a short-range city vehicle. She also experiences issues with starting the car and has brought her vehicle to the dealership for these issues on multiple occasions, all without any fix.

It is further alleged that Audi did not adequately test these vehicles before putting them for sale on the market, especially in Quebec where many drivers have confirmed and demonstrated that their E-Tron’s are malfunctioning.

The Class Definition

The purpose of this class action is to obtain:

a) Reduction of the class members’ obligations in amounts to be determined as of the date that Audi repairs the safety/defect issues, or the nullity of the leases and/or purchases; and
